Heyeswood Successfully Complete
Hulme Upright is delighted to announce the successful completion of the Heyeswood Retirement Living Scheme in Haydock for the Arena Housing Group.
Developed in partnership with Cruden Construction, the scheme was delivered on time and to budget in challenging times, meeting exacting standards of quality and performance.
The site is in designated 'greenbelt', and whilst this meant it needed approval by the Secretary of State, proactive work with St Helens Council Planning Team has produced a scheme which sits well in its natural location. To sustain the ecology of the site, a wild flower border has been planted around the perimiter, and the woodland maintained, with bird and bat boxes placed in the woods.
The 3 storey building consists of 92 spacious apartments each with wet floor shower rooms, open plan fitted kitchens and through lounge with French windows.
The communal facilities include a coffee bar, and bistro, lounge, activity suite, Wii fit, hairdressers and a greenhouse for gardeners. A bathing facility, launderette, quest room, and well being room are also included.
