Oliver Cotton

Oliver joined Hulme Upright in May 2005 following 10 years experience at various practices throughout central London, including ORMS. He became a Director in May 2006 and is now a main board Director based in the head office in Manchester.

Since joining Hulme Upright, Oliver has been responsible for the detailed design and delivery of the first Neighbourhood Centre procurred under the PFI process in the United Kingdom, located in Stoke on Trent.  Oliver also has a particular expertise within the Ecclesiastical and Education Sectors and has been involved in the design and delivery of a variety of churches, schools, colleges and university developments across the country. Oliver is currently working on a number of exciting phases of new developments for Reaseheath College in Cheshire which include specialist teaching facilities and new student accommodation together with a new church in Staffordshire. 

Oliver has also been the lead designer on a number of other projects including a retail and residential mixed use development in Stoke on Trent, together with housing renewal projects throughout North Staffordshire.  He manages a specialist team within the practice responsible for the refurbishment of existing buildings to allow residents with special needs to lead a normal life within their own community. The projects are on site all over the North of England.
