This development was designed for our long term client Location 3 Properties and occupies a site off Jane Murray Way in Burgess Hill close to Brighton and was completed in August 2013.
The 55,000sqft development on a 4.2 Acre brown field site has two non food retail units with the larger unit occupied by B&Q and the smaller unit occupied by Pets at Home. The site also has a 15,000sqft external garden centre and parking for over 200 cars on site including larger van spaces and an electric car charging point.
The design was developed on the prominent site to maximise the frontage of the retail units and retain an existing pond and set of mature oak trees in the car park. The service access is split from the customer access and a large covered canopy with feature glazing is incorporated across the main elevation.
