As part of a longstanding framework in Education Practice, Hulme Upright were commisioned in 2009 to provide an Early Years facility to serve the Alsager Community as part of St Gabriels RC Primary School.
The building is a simple pavillion incorporating bi folding glass doors across the length to enable the building to visually relate to the established landscape and pysically connect to the external play facilites.
The interior is open plan to remain flexible for a range of uses and incorporates a kitchen and office pod to work in conjunction with the nursery use.
The building is also full of sustainable design features and the underfloor heating is fed by an air source heat pump.
