Work is now complete on the new £14.5 million self-contained Ryfields Retirement Village in Warrington, a partnership scheme with Arena Housing Association, The ExtraCare Charitable Trust and Warrington Borough Council.
The Development includes 243 apartments and 13 bungalows and provides accommodation for singles and couples complete with individually tailored support packages. The residencies are situated around a purpose-built Village Centre, which offers a wide range of leisure, retail and communal facilities including craft workshops, village shop, lounge areas, restaurant and bar, village hall, IT suite and health and fitness centre.
The bungalows were awarded the Warrington Borough Council Built in Quality Award 2001, and the main building received the same Built in Quality Award in 2002. The project was also runner up in the Mail on Sunday National Homebuilder Design Awards 2003 in the Best Retirement Home category.
